ISO45001 Implementation

Almost 50 people in Ireland and 2 million people worldwide die every year in workplace accidents. ISO45001:2018 is a standard which is aimed at ensuring the health, safety and welfare of people in the workplace. Whether you work in a relatively high-risk industry such as the construction sector or in a relatively low-risk, office-based environment, you can benefit from a structured approach to the management of health and safety in the workplace:

  • reduced possibility of accident, injury and fatality in the workplace
  • potential savings in costs associated with accident and illness
  • provides assurance to stakeholders such as employees, customers and regulators
  • increased competitiveness among industry rivals
  • reduced chance of prosecution resulting in fines and loss of reputation
  • meets the requirements for public and private tenders

As with the other ISO standards, this follows the Plan-Do-Check-Act model so certified companies are required to continually monitor, measure and improve their operational performance and management system.

Darren has worked with NVD since 2015. In that time, he has maintained our ISO9001 system and also implemented ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 across all 5 sites in the group. He successfully transitioned our quality and environmental systems to the 2015 versions of the standards and we achieved certification to these in November 2017. Darren’s knowledge of the ISO standards is second to none and he continues to provide an invaluable service to NVD. I have no hesitation in recommending him to any company seeking help with implementing or maintaining management systems.
